i have so much to learn about blogging!  i took pics of my work, the impetus for the blog, and can't figure out how to upload them  HA!
i was in asheville a couple of years ago and found some beautiful cotton for weaving.  i wanted to learn how to weave, so i got the cotton on cones, anticipating learning how to weave someday.  that day has not happened yet  (but still can) and i ran across the cotton a couple of days ago and was wondering how i could use it.  i'm focusing on several things, and one is to use and create from my 'stash' - it's pretty massive.
i have made crochet chains to use with the children i work with and i decided to try to crochet several strands together, making a long chain, then knitting the chain into a scarf.  when i was a child, learning how to crochet, i made many, many long chains.
i'm also trying to keep up with how long it will take to make the chain and knit the scarf.
